The Academy of the Arts has offered a stimulating and supportive environment to our international students for well over a decade. The University of Tasmania provides comprehensive assistance with English language and writing skills, visa information, social networks and accommodation. Our graduates from Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, China, Germany and the United States have gone on to develop successful careers in the arts professions.

The School of Visual & Performing Arts has an increasing number of international students studying with us. Students can get credit for previous study where appropriate and can select from the full range of courses we have on offer or use the study abroad program to study for a semester or two and gain credit at their home institution.
