The Academy Gallery Club established in 2002 has a regular membership of 100 plus University and Polytechnic students and people from the wider community.

The Academy Gallery Volunteer Club has been extremely successful. Gallery volunteers learn about the professional installation, dismantle, conservation, lighting and exhibition design required of a contemporary art gallery.

The Academy Gallery Volunteer Club attracts all sectors of the community with visual arts students, business people, the retired and simply the arts lover with a yearning to discover more all willing to participate. The Volunteer Club is a friendly work environment where members enjoy the social side of life as much as they do the learning curve.

Dianna Gold, Director, Gallery 101, Melbourne

"During my visit to the Academy Gallery I have been most impressed with the stimulating, exciting and most professionally run Gallery Volunteer program. ?The Academy Gallery exhibits a diversity of cultural practices on an international scale as well as on a national scale. The Academy Gallery Volunteer program is an excellent way in which students can experience the real art world. I heartily congratulate the Academy Gallery and encourage all students to get involved!!!'?"
