Peter Hammond is Acting Head of School and Head of the Performing Arts program (Theatre & Music) at the Academy of the Arts, Inveresk. Peter's research areas of interest are community theatre, script writing and stage directing. Widely experienced in large-scale theatre productions and has directed for CentrStage (the on-campus University theatre company) since its inception in 1990. Peter lectures in acting, stage craft and directing. He has a strong interest in staging new Australian drama.
