“Apa khabar?” (‘How you going’ in Malay.) I am an Art Coordinator in a secondary school back home and have been teaching for the past five years. I have a Diploma in Graphic Design from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and a Diploma in Art Specialisation from National Institute of Education. I have also had the opportunity to work as an Art Director for five years in a local film production house prior to teaching.

I came to UTAS to further develop my artistic skills and knowledge and to discover new potentials. I believe I came to the right place. I find studying at the Academy of the Arts both enriching and exciting. At present I am in my third year of the Bachelor of Contemporary Arts majoring in Sculpture. The teaching staff and friends that I have made have been magnificent. The facilities are world class and the academic support is second to none. The course is broadening my knowledge and sharpening my technical and artistic skills. UTAS, its people and the beautiful countryside are perfect combinations to provide me with holistic education, peacefulness, loads of fun and adventure. I shall bring home great knowledge, skills and memories to share with my friends and students. For now, I just want to enjoy life, study and make new friends as much as I can.
